Europa League 2015-16 : Sparta beats APOEL 2-0

PRAGUE, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Sparta Prague defeated APOEL Nicosia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Generali Arena in Prague.

Sparta Prague dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Fatai Kehinde in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Rudí” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Brabec Jakub in the 60th minute.

The result put Sparta second in Group K with 4 points. APOEL is bottom with no points. In their next game, Sparta Prague will meet group leaders Schalke 04 at the Generali Arena on October 22, while APOEL Nicosia will face Asteras Tripolis.
