Europa League 2015-16 : APOEL defeats Asteras 2-1

NICOSIA, Oct. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : APOEL Nicosia defeated Asteras Tripolis by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

Lluy Braian opened the score in the 8th minute, before seeing APOEL Nicosia catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Cavenaghi Fernando penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The “Τhrylos” eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Carlao Carlos Roberto in the 59th minute.

The result put APOEL third in Group K with 3 points. Asteras is bottom with one point. In their next game, APOEL Nicosia will meet Asteras Tripolis at the GSP Stadium on November 5, while Asteras Tripolis will face APOEL Nicosia.
