Europa League 2015-16 : Schalke 04 and Sparta tied at 2-2

GELSENKIRCHEN, Oct. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Schalke 04 tied 2-2 with Sparta Prague (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

Schalke 04 players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Argentine forward Franco Di Santo in the 6th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Sané goal ('73) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Sparta Prague with goals by Fatai Kehinde ('50) and Lafata David ('63).

The result put Schalke 04 top of Group K with 7 points. Sparta is second with 5 points. In their next game, Schalke 04 will meet second-placed Sparta Prague at the Veltins-Arena on November 5, while Sparta Prague will face Schalke 04.
