NICOSIA, Dec. 10, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Sparta Prague defeated APOEL Nicosia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

Lafata David scored dual goals

APOEL Nicosia had started off well by taking the lead in the 6th minute with a goal by Cavenaghi Fernando. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the “Rudí” nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Julis Lukas '63 and Lafata David '77, '87).
