Europa League 2015-16 : AZ beats Bilbao 2-1

ALKMAAR, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : AZ Alkmaar defeated Athletic Bilbao by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the AFAS Stadion in Alkmaar.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Henriksen Markus ('55) and Boveda Eneko ('65 own).

The result put Bilbao second in Group L with 3 points. AZ is third with 3 points. In their next game, Athletic Bilbao will meet group leaders Partizan Belgrade at the AFAS Stadion on October 22, while AZ Alkmaar will face Augsburg.
