ALKMAAR, Oct. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Augsburg defeated AZ Alkmaar by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the AFAS Stadion in Alkmaar.

All the action happened in the first half, with Augsburg midfielder Piotr Trochowski goal in the 43rd minute.

The result put AZ third in Group L with 3 points. Augsburg is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, AZ Alkmaar will meet Augsburg at the AFAS Stadion on November 5, while Augsburg will face AZ Alkmaar.
