Liverpool beats Dortmund to advance to Europa League semifinals
LIVERPOOL, Apr. 14, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Liverpool defeated Borussia Dortmund by a score of 4-3 (halftime: 0-2), in the second leg of a quarterfinals on Thursday night at Anfield in Liverpool.
Borussia Dortmund had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Mkhitaryan ('5) and Aubameyang ('9). Trailing 2-0 at half time, the Reds nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring four times in the second period (Origi '48, Coutinho '66, Sakho '78 and Lovren '90).
