Sevilla beats Bilbao in shoot out to advance to Europa League semifinals
SEVILLE, Apr. 14, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Sevilla defeated Athletic Bilbao on penalties 5-4, after the match ended 1-2 in regulation time, in the second leg of a quarterfinals on Thursday night at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.
The score was still 1-2 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Aritz Aduriz ('57) and Raúl García ('80) for Athletic Bilbao and Kevin Gameiro ('59) for Sevilla. Los Sevillistas finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-4.
