Europa League 2015-16 : Liverpool beats Man Utd 2-0

LIVERPOOL, Mar. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Liverpool defeated Manchester United by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at Anfield in Liverpool.

Liverpool dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Daniel Sturridge in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Firmino Roberto in the 73rd minute.

The second leg between Liverpool and Manchester United will be played on Thursday March 17, 2016 (kick-off: 19:00) in Manchester.
