Europa League 2015-16 : Villarreal beats Bayer 2-0

VILLARREAL, Mar. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Villarreal defeated Bayer Leverkusen by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at the El Madrigal stadium in Villarreal.

Bakambu Cedric scored dual goals

Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bakambu Cedric in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Bakambu Cedric in the 56th minute.

The second leg between Villarreal and Bayer Leverkusen will be played on Thursday March 17, 2016 (kick-off: 19:00) in Leverkusen.
