Europa League 2015-16 : Saint-Etienne beats Basel 3-2

SAINT-ÉTIENNE, Feb. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Saint-Etienne defeated Basel by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in the first leg of a round of 32 game on Thursday night at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne.

Saint-Etienne dominated the first half thanks to goals from Sall ('9) and Monnet-Paquet ('39). Leading 2-1 at the break, Saint-Etienne players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bahebeck in the 77th minute.

The second leg between Saint-Etienne and Basel will be played on Thursday February 25, 2016 (kick-off: 21:05) in Basel.
