Europa League 2015-16 : Shakhtar beats Schalke 04 3-0 to qualify for the Round of 16
GELSENKIRCHEN, Feb. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Schalke 04 by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a round of 32 game on Thursday night at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
Shakhtar Donetsk dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Marlos Bonfim in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Hirnyky” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ferreyra '63 and Kovalenko Viktor '77).
