Apr. 28, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Villarreal defeated Liverpool by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the first leg of a semifinals on Thursday.

Liverpool made Villarreal doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Villarreal forward Lopez Adrian in stoppage time.

The second leg between Villarreal and Liverpool will be played on Thursday May 5, 2016.
