Man Utd beats Ajax 2-0 to win Europa League

SOLNA, May. 24, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Manchester United claimed the Europa League crown with a 2-0 win against Ajax (halftime: 1-0) in the final on Wednesday night at the Friends Arena in Solna.

Manchester United dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French midfielder Paul Pogba in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Red Devils further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mkhitaryan in the 48th minute.
