Europa League 2016-17 : Man Utd beats Fener 4-1

MANCHESTER, Oct. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Manchester United defeated Fenerbahce by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba scored dual goals

Manchester United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Pogba ('31 on penalty, '45) and Martial ('34 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Red Devils further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lingard in the 48th minute.

The result put Man Utd top of Group A with 6 points. Fener is third with 4 points. In their next game, Manchester United will meet third-placed Fenerbahce at Old Trafford on November 3, while Fenerbahce will face Manchester United.
