Europa League 2016-17 : Olympiacos beats Astana 4-1

ATHENS, Oct. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Olympiacos defeated FC Astana by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens.

Seba Couto Freitas scored dual goals

Olympiacos dominated the first half thanks to goals from Figueiras Diogo ('25), Elyounoussi ('33) and Seba Couto Freitas ('34). Leading 3-0 at the break, the “Kokkinoi” further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Seba Couto Freitas in the 65th minute.

The result put Olympiacos top of Group B with 6 points. Astana is bottom with one point. In their next game, Olympiacos will meet FC Astana at the Karaiskakis Stadium on November 3, while FC Astana will face Olympiacos.
