Europa League 2016-17 : Young Boys beats APOEL 3-1

BERN, Oct. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Young Boys defeated APOEL Nicosia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade de Suisse in Bern.

Hoarau Guillaume scored tripple goals

Efrem Giorgos opened the score in the 14th minute, before seeing Young Boys catch up in the 18th minute thanks to Hoarau Guillaume. 1-1 at half time. YB eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Hoarau Guillaume ('52, '82 on penalty).

The result put APOEL second in Group B with 6 points. Young Boys is third with 4 points. In their next game, APOEL Nicosia will meet third-placed Young Boys at the Stade de Suisse on November 3, while Young Boys will face APOEL Nicosia.
