Europa League 2016-17 : APOEL beats Young Boys 1-0

NICOSIA, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : APOEL Nicosia defeated Young Boys by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Sotiriou Pieros in the 69th minute.

The result put APOEL top of Group B with 9 points. Young Boys is third with 4 points. In their next game, APOEL Nicosia will meet FC Astana at the GSP Stadium on November 24, while Young Boys will face Olympiacos.
