Europa League 2016-17 : Anderlecht beats Qabala 3-1

ANDERLECHT, Sep. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Anderlecht defeated Qabala by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Anderlecht.

Anderlecht dominated the first half thanks to goals from Teodorczyk Lukasz ('14) and Alves Dos Santos Rafael ('41 own). Leading 2-1 at the break, the “Purple and White” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Capel Diego in the 77th minute.

The result put Anderlecht top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Anderlecht will meet second-placed Saint-Etienne at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on September 29, while Qabala will face Mainz.
