Europa League 2016-17 : Saint-Etienne defeats Qabala 2-1

BAKU, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Saint-Etienne defeated Qabala by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Bakcell Arena in Baku.

Gurbanov Ruslan opened the score in the 39th minute, before seeing Saint-Etienne catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Tannane Oussama. 1-1 at half time. Saint-Etienne eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Beric Robert in the 53rd minute.

The result put Saint-Etienne second in Group C with 8 points. Qabala is bottom with no points. In their next game, Saint-Etienne will meet third-placed Mainz at the Bakcell Arena on November 24, while Qabala will face Anderlecht.
