ANDERLECHT, Dec. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Saint-Etienne defeated Anderlecht by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 0-2), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Anderlecht.
Soderlund Alexander scored dual goals
Anderlecht had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Chipciu Alexandru ('21) and Stanciu Nicolae ('31). Trailing 2-0 at half time, Saint-Etienne players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Soderlund Alexander '62, '67 and Monnet-Paquet '74).
