Europa League 2016-17 : Zenit beats Dundalk 2-1

KIGALI, Oct. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Zenit St Petersburg defeated Dundalk by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Tallaght Stadium in Kigali.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Mak Robert ('71) and Giuliano Victor ('77).

The result put Zenit top of Group D with 9 points. Dundalk is second with 4 points. In their next game, Zenit St Petersburg will meet second-placed Dundalk at the Tallaght Stadium on November 3, while Dundalk will face Zenit St Petersburg.
