Europa League 2016-17 : Roma defeats Giurgiu 4-0

ROME, Sep. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : AS Roma defeated Astra Giurgiu by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

AS Roma dominated the first half thanks to goals from Strootman ('15) and Fazio ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Giallorossi further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Dornellas Fabricio '47/own and Salah '55).

The result put Roma top of Group E with 4 points. Giurgiu is bottom with no points. In their next game, AS Roma will meet second-placed Austria Vienna at the Stadio Olimpico on October 20, while Astra Giurgiu will face Viktoria Plzen.
