Europa League 2016-17 : Roma and Austria Vienna play to a 3-3 draw

ROME, Oct. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : AS Roma tied 3-3 with Austria Vienna (halftime: 2-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

AS Roma players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by El Shaarawy Stephan ('19, '34) while Austria Vienna only scored once Holzhauser ('16). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite Florenzi goal ('69) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Austria Vienna with goals by Prokop Dominik ('82) and Kayode Olarenwaju ('84).

The result put Roma top of Group E with 5 points. Austria Vienna is second with 5 points. In their next game, AS Roma will meet second-placed Austria Vienna at the Stadio Olimpico on November 3, while Austria Vienna will face AS Roma.
