Europa League 2016-17 : Roma defeats Austria Vienna 4-2

VIENNA, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : AS Roma defeated Austria Vienna by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

Edin Džeko scored dual goals

Austria Vienna opened the score in the score in the 2nd minute thanks to Kayode Olarenwaju, before AS Roma regained the advantage with Džeko ('5) and De Rossi Daniele ('18). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Giallorossi further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Džeko '65 and Nainggolan '78).

The result put Roma top of Group E with 8 points. Austria Vienna is second with 5 points. In their next game, AS Roma will meet Viktoria Plzen at the Ernst Happel Stadium on November 24, while Austria Vienna will face Astra Giurgiu.
