Europa League 2016-17 : Roma beats Viktoria Plzen 4-1

ROME, Nov. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : AS Roma defeated Viktoria Plzen by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Edin Džeko scored tripple goals

AS Roma forward Edin Džeko opened the score in the 11th minute, before seeing Viktoria Plzen catch up in the 18th minute thanks to Zeman Martin. 1-1 at half time. The Giallorossi eventually won the game in the second period with three more goals by Džeko ('61, '88) and Mateju Ales ('82 own).

The result put Roma top of Group E with 11 points. Viktoria Plzen is bottom with 3 points. In their last game, AS Roma will meet second-placed Astra Giurgiu at the Stadio Olimpico on December 8, while Viktoria Plzen will face Austria Vienna.
