Europa League 2016-17 : Rapid Vienna defeats Genk 3-2

VIENNA, Sep. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Rapid Vienna defeated Genk by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna.

Genk had started off well by taking the lead in the 29th minute with a goal by Bailey Leon. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Die Grün-Weißen nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Schwab Stefan '51, Joelinton De Lira '59 and Colley Omar '60 own).

The result put Rapid Vienna second in Group F with 3 points. In their next game, Rapid Vienna will meet Athletic Bilbao at the Allianz Stadion on September 29, while Genk will face Sassuolo.
