Europa League 2016-17 : Sassuolo beats Bilbao 3-0

REGGIO EMILIA, Sep. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Sassuolo defeated Athletic Bilbao by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore in Reggio Emilia.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Lirola Pol ('60), Defrel ('75) and Politano Matteo ('82).

The result put Sassuolo top of Group F with 3 points. In their next game, Sassuolo will meet third-placed Genk at the Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore on September 29, while Athletic Bilbao will face Rapid Vienna.
