Europa League 2016-17 : Sassuolo and Rapid Vienna play to a 2-2 draw

REGGIO EMILIA, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Sassuolo tied 2-2 with Rapid Vienna (halftime: 2-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore in Reggio Emilia.

Sassuolo players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Defrel ('34) and Pellegrini ('45). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Rapid Vienna with goals by Jelic Matej ('86) and Kvilitaia Giorgi ('90).

The result put Sassuolo third in Group F with 5 points. Rapid Vienna is bottom with 5 points. In their next game, Sassuolo will meet second-placed Athletic Bilbao at the Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore on November 24, while Rapid Vienna will face Genk.
