AMSTERDAM, Sep. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Ajax defeated Standard Liege by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night.

All the action happened in the first half, with Dolberg Kasper goal in the 28th minute.

The result put Ajax top of Group G with 6 points. Liege is third with one point. In their next game, Ajax will meet second-placed Celta Vigo on October 20, while Standard Liege will face Panathinaikos.
