Europa League 2016-17 : Ajax defeats Celta Vigo 3-2

AMSTERDAM, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Ajax defeated Celta Vigo by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night.

Ajax dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Dolberg Kasper in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Godenzonen” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ziyech Hakim '68 and Younes '71).

The result put Ajax top of Group G with 10 points. Celta Vigo is third with 5 points. In their next game, Ajax will meet Panathinaikos on November 24, while Celta Vigo will face Standard Liege.
