Europa League 2016-17 : Liege beats Panathinaikos 3-0

ATHENS, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Standard Liege defeated Panathinaikos by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium in Athens.

Ishak Belfodil scored dual goals

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Cisse Ibrahima ('62) and Belfodil ('76, '90).

The result put Liege second in Group G with 5 points. Panathinaikos is bottom with one point. In their next game, Standard Liege will meet third-placed Celta Vigo at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium on November 24, while Panathinaikos will face Ajax.
