Europa League 2016-17 : Ajax held to a 1-1 draw by Liege but qualifies for

LIèGE, Dec. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Standard Liege tied 1-1 with Ajax (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liège.

Ajax players started off well by taking the lead thanks to El Ghazi Anwar in the 27th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Standard Liege with a saving goal from Raman Benito in the 85th minute.
