GELSENKIRCHEN, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Schalke 04 defeated Krasnodar by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Caicara Junior ('25) and Nabil Bentaleb ('28).
The result put Schalke 04 top of Group I with 12 points. Krasnodar is second with 6 points. In their next game, Schalke 04 will meet Nice at the Veltins-Arena on November 24, while Krasnodar will face Red Bull Salzburg.
