LEIPZIG, Dec. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Red Bull Salzburg defeated Schalke 04 by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.
Red Bull Salzburg dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Schlager Xaver in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Roten Bullen” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Radosevic in stoppage time.
