Europa League 2016-17 : Fiorentina beats Qarabag 5-1

FLORENCE, Sep. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Fiorentina defeated Qarabag by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.

Khouma Babacar and Mauro Zárate scored dual goals

Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to goals from Babacar ('39, '45) and Kalinic Nikola ('43). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Zárate '63, '78).

The result put Fiorentina top of Group J with 4 points. Qarabag is bottom with one point. In their next game, Fiorentina will meet third-placed Slovan Liberec at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on October 20, while Qarabag will face PAOK.
