Europa League 2016-17 : PAOK defeats Slovan Liberec 2-1

LIBEREC, Sep. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : PAOK defeated Slovan Liberec by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadion u Nisy in Liberec.

Athanasiadis Stefanos scored dual goals

Komlichenko Nikolay opened the score in the 1st minute, before seeing PAOK catch up in the 10th minute thanks to Athanasiadis Stefanos penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The “Double-headed eagle of the north” eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Athanasiadis Stefanos with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put PAOK second in Group J with 4 points. Slovan Liberec is third with one point. In their next game, PAOK will meet Qarabag at the Stadion u Nisy on October 20, while Slovan Liberec will face Fiorentina.
