THESSALONIKI, Dec. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : PAOK defeated Slovan Liberec by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki.
PAOK dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Cape Verdean midfielder Rodrigues Garry in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Double-headed eagle of the north” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pelkas in the 67th minute.
