Europa League 2016-17 : Sparta beats Inter 3-1

PRAGUE, Sep. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Sparta Prague defeated Inter Milan by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Generali Arena in Prague.

Václav Kadlec scored dual goals

Sparta Prague dominated the first half thanks to goals from Kadlec ('7, '25). Leading 2-0 at the break, the “Rudí” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Holek in the 76th minute.

The result put Sparta third in Group K with 3 points. Inter is bottom with no points. In their next game, Sparta Prague will meet second-placed Hapoel Be'er Sheva at the Generali Arena on October 20, while Inter Milan will face Southampton.
