BUCHAREST, Sep. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Steaua Bucuresti tied 1-1 with Villarreal (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the National Arena in Bucharest.

One goal for both sides in the first half, Muniru Sulley ('19) for Steaua Bucuresti, Borre Rafael ('9) for Villarreal and none in the second.

The result put Villarreal top of Group L with 4 points. Steaua Bucuresti is bottom with one point. In their next game, Villarreal will meet second-placed Osmanlispor at the National Arena on October 20, while Steaua Bucuresti will face Zürich.
