Europa League 2016-17 : Osmanlispor and Villarreal play to a 2-2 draw

ANKARA, Oct. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Osmanlispor tied 2-2 with Villarreal (halftime: 2-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Osmanli Stadium in Ankara.

Osmanlispor players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Rusescu Raul ('23 and '24. However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Villarreal with goals by N Diaye Alfred ('56) and Pato Alexandre ('74).

The result put Villarreal top of Group L with 5 points. Osmanlispor is second with 4 points. In their next game, Villarreal will meet second-placed Osmanlispor at the Osmanli Stadium on November 3, while Osmanlispor will face Villarreal.
