Europa League 2016-17 : Osmanlispor beats Villarreal 2-1

VILLARREAL, Nov. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Osmanlispor defeated Villarreal by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the El Madrigal stadium in Villarreal.

Osmanlispor dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Webo Pierre in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Osmanlispor players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Rusescu Raul in the 75th minute.

The result put Osmanlispor top of Group L with 7 points. Villarreal is second with 5 points. In their next game, Osmanlispor will meet Steaua Bucuresti at the El Madrigal stadium on November 24, while Villarreal will face Zürich.
