Europa League 2016-17 : FCZ and Villarreal tied at 1-1

ZURICH, Nov. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Zürich tied 1-1 with Villarreal (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich.

Villarreal players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Villarreal midfielder Soriano Bruno in the 14th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Zürich with a saving goal from Rodriguez Roberto on penalty in the 87th minute.

The result put Villarreal second in Group L with 6 points. FCZ is third with 6 points. In their last game, Villarreal will meet Steaua Bucuresti at the Letzigrund Stadium on December 8, while Zürich will face Osmanlispor.
