NICOSIA, Mar. 9, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Anderlecht defeated APOEL Nicosia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

All the action happened in the first half, with Stanciu Nicolae goal in the 29th minute.

The second leg between APOEL Nicosia and Anderlecht will be played on Thursday March 16, 2017 (kick-off: 21:05) in Anderlecht.
