Europa League 2016-17 : Lyon defeats Roma 4-2

LYON, Mar. 9, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Lyon defeated AS Roma by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 1-2), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon.

AS Roma had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Salah ('20) and Fazio ('33), while Lyon only scored once Diakhaby ('8). Trailing 2-1 at half time, “Les Gones” nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Tolisso '47, Fekir '74 and Lacazette '90).

The second leg between Lyon and AS Roma will be played on Thursday March 16, 2017 (kick-off: 21:05) in Rome.
