Besiktas beats Olympiacos to reach Europa League quarterfinals
ISTANBUL, Mar. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Besiktas defeated Olympiacos by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-1), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at the Vodafone Arena in Istanbul.
Babel Ryan scored dual goals
Besiktas dominated the first half thanks to goals from Aboubakar ('10) and Babel Ryan ('22). Leading 2-1 at the break, the “Black Eagles” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Babel Ryan '75 and Tosun Cenk '84).
