Schalke 04 draws with M'Gladbach to reach Europa League quarterfinals
MöNCHENGLADBACH, Mar. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : Mönchengladbach tied 2-2 with Schalke 04 (halftime: 2-1), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach.
Mönchengladbach players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Christensen Andreas ('26) and Dahoud ('45). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Schalke 04 with goals by Leon Goretzka ('54) and Nabil Bentaleb ('68 on penalty).
