Lyon loses to Roma but reaches Europa League quarterfinals
ROME, Mar. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : AS Roma defeated Lyon by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Lyon midfielder Mouctar Diakhaby opened the score in the 16th minute, before seeing AS Roma catch up in the 17th minute thanks to Kevin Strootman. 1-1 at half time. The Giallorossi eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Tousart Lucas into his own net in the 60th minute.
