Europa League 2016-17 : Roma beats Villarreal 4-0

VILLARREAL, Feb. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 : AS Roma defeated Villarreal by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a round of 32 game on Thursday night.

Edin Džeko scored tripple goals

AS Roma dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian defender Emerson in the 32nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Giallorossi further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Džeko '65, '79, '86).

The second leg between Villarreal and AS Roma will be played on Thursday February 23, 2017 (kick-off: 19:00) in Rome.
