Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Giurgiu and West Ham tied at 1-1

GIURGIU, Aug. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Astra Giurgiu tied 1-1 with West Ham (halftime: 0-1), in the first leg of a Europa League qualifier tie on Thursday night.

West Ham players started off well by taking the lead thanks to West Ham midfielder Mark Noble on penalty in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Astra Giurgiu with a saving goal from Alibec Denis in the 83rd minute.

The second leg between Astra Giurgiu and West Ham will be played on Thursday August 25, 2016 (kick-off: 20:45) in London.
